| How do you guys do it? I have played a few sngs over the years (under 1k but over 500) and enjoy them from time to time but how can some people grind out thousands a year? I have a buddy that plays thousands of PLO8 sngs a year (sharskope **TRICKE1**) and I just don't get it. I guess my question is How can you play so much poker and always play the same exact game??? What motivates these sng machines to just keep grinding it out? I have noticed that not all players like variety but my question is what motivates you to step up to that table again when you can play on autopliot? |

| if you have a sound understanding of sng's then you are ahead of them....why not make the easy money when you know you have the edge in the long run.......long run= lots and lots of sngs.....so you make a few bucks per sng....x's that by 1000 a month or what not...thats a few thousand bucks a month! and thats low limit grinding. Also another thing that motivates me is the SNG leaderboard. with the introduction of the sng leaderboard on stars(which the structure is much better than FTP) it gives the low volumue player a nice shot at it too and you can make some extra cash. I can usually get out about 50-75 sng's a week due to working and other engagements....on a good day i can play prob. 50 or so in a sitting, with a few breaks and other tournaments. You have to set a goal for urself and try to acheive it. Right now my goal is to win a SNG leaderboard on stars, i play within my limit of bankroll so can run 4-6 tables at a time and just keep going and going Just have something in mind...enjoy the game and the challenge. |

| I have play about 120 at day in stars ( other time ) 14 tabling . The only motivation is to make money and the end of the month . If you run good for two month , u have the bankroll to take a shoot in the next level , in order to make more money As simple as that . Now the times changes , but that is another history |

Can you tell me a little about your setup? Do you have two Big Monitors? Tile the Games, or Cascaded them? Resize them? Have one of those fancy trackballs? or have preprogrammed macro keys for your actions. Jason

Play in set at cascade . In stars , best soft on net . Mood very simple , all black , butons fluorestent , 4 color deck cards , hyper simple . Some autohotkey , mine , button right fold , middle push allin , wheell increase 1/2 blind. With this and pushboot strategy u can play a lot of tables whitout stress | |

| See I don't have problems playing a lot of tables at the same time. Right around 6 is normal for me (when I have a day to paly tourneys) and I sometimes will get more going. I just can't get up and say "I am going to play 100 more sngs today" when I played 100 the day before, and 100 the day before, and 100 the day before, and on and on... I guess you nailed it on the head when you said you play them to win money, there just must be little other motivation to play.

| set a goal? if you only play 100 per month, what do you want your ROI to be? set goals for yourself. and like i said, the new leaderboard on stars is a great motivation booster. try to win the leaderboard and if you do you get into other great tournaments. |

There is nothing wrong with grinding sngs, I just can't do it. If you look at what I play in a day it will usually contain about 5 different games mixed between cash, tourneys and sngs, mostly cash games. I personally like variety.
