![]() | This was the title of the video clip Actually, I think in this case Tony G was an idiot. Gambling with way the worst of it. I don't want to spoil the video, I will make some comments after everyone gets a chance to view the video.

| I don't know what to say, but definetly Tony was not an idiot. On flop he had many outs, and on turn he was pot commited. He gambeled with good outs.My problem is with other player reraising on flop with j 10 suited. What was he thinking? |

![]() | hmm He called a 5k raise preflop with Q7 offsuit, I can't see how this is ever a good play. Please explain how & why anyone other than an idot would call a raised pot with queen seven offsuit?I agree the flop is somewhat decent for him, but you have the benefit of seeing both players whole cards and that Tony G has quite a few outs. Normally in this situation, the overcards wouldn't be good and he would be left with only the straight draw. In no limit Holdem, calling big bets headsup with draws is normally unprofitable because your rarely getting the right pot odds. The exception to this is when you have a really big draw like two overcards and a nut flush draw (15 outs which makes you about a 54% favorite to win a pot against an uderpair.) One thing that you may have overlooked, and the announcers made a subtle hint to was that Tony G was getting low on chips (ie losing) and looking to gamble to get even. Looking to get even by gambling is almost never a good play. I think the look on Phil Ivey's face is priceless, emotionless shock. I'm sure he was thinking, "I'd love to play with both of these guys everyday" The second hand Tony G played against Erik Seidel he played fine.

| I was surprise that I didn't see Tony G acting like an idiot insulting people in this video. Gambling with the Q 7 was a strange play for Tony G, but he lucked out on the river. Tony played the A J well and Seidel didn't think Tony G had a strong hand. |
