Good Point, but I actually don't think it is an act, some people are just born to complain and whine and he is just as animated and whiny even when the cameras aren't around, and he has a hot temper, he has actually been been in a few fist fights with people , I haven't been in a fight since early high school.

Because they know he plays good enough to lay down a lot of hands, and the value of a marginal play has serious "Tilt Value" if Phil is involved.

On a sidenote, as much as I think Phil is an annoying person in general, he did apologize to me for stepping on my foot when I was railing the 2005 WSOP Main Event final table...lol. He was leaving the CardPlayer radio booth and crushed my foot...I obv had flip flops on and it hurt like a bitch - but he was nice about it and said he was sorry.

He ruined the moment later on when I saw him leave for his limo at Binion's that night and he completely ignored 5 or 6 people's request for an autograph or a picture. He literally looked back and laughed at each request, and acted as if he was too good for it....thanks Phil....lol.

Phil took it to the extreme but they were a little out of line to do that while he was making his decision. Phil could have handled it a bit different. They kept feeding the fire as they laughed and insulted his "reading abilities".

I never liked Phil Hellmuth, he does indeed cry and whine like a baby. I bet he gets under a lot of players skin, which could work for a advantage for him.

I completely disagree about the cameras influencing him thing. He was one table over from me during the $2000 NL event at the WSOP last year and I watched him go ballistic on some poor guy for about 10 minutes after he beat phil in a hand. It was pretty ridiculous, and there were no cameras anywhere near the table (we were in the tent at that time). He honestly grilled the guy like crazy and the table had to call the floor over and eventually after Phil woudn't shut up for nearly 30 minutes the floor threatened a timeout. You could tell everyone at the table was highly annoyed and even my table was getting a little annoyed and the tables around us that he was making such a scene.

My personal opinion is that he is a whiny baby. I have seen it in person.

That has been my experience as I previously mentioned. What is a nice way of saying the opposite of "class act"?

Yeah he is a great poker player, there is no questioning that, but his whining kind of diminishes that a bit and that is a shame.
