I agree that poker has changed quite a bit over the last few years. You need to be ableto change up your poker game from time to time. Makes sense to play shorter sessions when you're losing and longer sessions when your'e winning. Simple! |

Gus is supposedly a World Class Backgammon player also. I don't know much about Backgammon, but I do know that it is definitely a high strategy game, similiar to chess. There are definitely right & wrong moves that you can make and the best player usually wins in backgammon. The reason I bring up Gus's backgammon ability is because although he seems like an out of control action maniac at times, I think at some level, there is a "method to his madness", and his strategy is just fundamentally different than a lot of players. Blue Fool posted a great example of Gus being an action maniac. I moved the video here: Gus Hansen - Extremely Loose All in Call. I remember watching this hand when the WPT show was first aired and I was completely flabbergasted. It's one of the single worst flat calls I've ever seen in televised poker. As it turns out, he wasn't drawing nearly as bad as he could have been but that isn't the point. Lets try to keep one video per thread, if you find a related video you want to share, post the new video as it's own thread and then post a link to it in the related topic if you want. Thanks, Jason
