Yang is not all that bad. In last months Cardplayer Magazine there was a article that he dontated 10 truckloads of food to children in Southern California. SO far he has donated over 1 million dollars. He may not be the "professional player" we are looking for but he is a "Professional person" with a heart of gold.

He has played in several tournaments since the main event but almost all of them were Charity Tournaments he has either hosted or played in.

Yeah I've heard some complaining that Yang hasn't been "putting money back into the poker economy" since he hasn't played that much since the WSOP. He may not be redonating his money to poker, but he seems like a pretty genuine guy who will probably fund a lifetime of philanthropy with his winnings. At least he's not blowing it on coke and whores.

This isn't really a final table that will be remembered all that much in the future except by those that played in it.

Yeah, this is one good thing that came out of him winning. I'm not sure we'll see him win another WSOP anytime soon, but at least he took his winnings and did some good with it.

I wouldn't get on him for "not putting money back into the poker economy." It's his money, he can do what he wants with it.

I hope my post wasn't interperted wrong. I was actually trying to say that I admire the fact that he hasn't given the money back and is using his money wisely.

Too many people win some tournament and think they are the new "Phil Hellmuth" in more ways than one.

Winning the main event is like winning the lottery these days. If you won the lottery, are you going to run out and buy 100 tickets every week? I'd probably never buy another ticket in my life

I have a lot of respect for players that spend there money wisely and don't lose it back. I think most poker players/fans would be truly amazed to know how many of their favorite players are perpetually broke or close to it.

Karma.. Any good examples of players that have gone broke within the last 2 years who are big names. I have had several suspicions but can not prove it being that I am not from Vegas.

Huck Seed is perpetually broke, although he seems to have some money now, I've seen him play as low as 4-8 limit hold'em at the Bellagio.

Nobody's seen Joe Bartholdi (Won like 3 million in WPT championship either last year or year before) in quite a while. I know in the 6-8 months after his win, he dumped a lot of money playing large no limit stakes.

Sam Grizzle is probably the biggest degenerate gambler ever. Some people think he can play because he has been on TV a few times, but he is truly awful at hold'em. From what I understand he is pretty decent at Razz.

There are lots more examples, but I don't want to burn to many bridges by outing the degenerates.

That is weird about huck Seed because he is almost always playing high buy in sng on full tilt

Grizzle was one of my suspicions.
Bartholdi Seemed like he thought he was better than he was and would do something like sit down in the big game when he did not belong there.

Huck Seed is a big suprise for me. I always thought he was better than that.

Probobly just awful bankroll management.
