Given that online casinos are everywhere nowadays and pretty safe, convenient, etc. do you still prefer them over real, land-based casinos? Online casinos are fun but they do lack some of the appeal of actually going to a venue with bright lights, sounds and actual dealers.

I think you said it already in your post. Online is a great as you don't ever have to leave your house, or even or your room, or even get dressed to play! Talk about convenience! On the flipside nothing can replace the fun of going to the casino! I think both have thier place. I prefer online ot make money as you can get so many more hands in an you jsut have so many more options of what to play but that will never replace the experience that most casinos are.

I really don't think online poker rooms compete that much for thier piece of the poker pie, I think they work together. On one hand you have online, convenient with endless selection, and on the other you have the entire casino experience, less hands but potentially more fun. I enjoy both!

If you're talking about going to online casinos and playing slot type games, roulette, etc., that is someting I don't do. The only thing I play online is poker.

I do like the atmosphere of live casinos though, but again I only play card games for the most part if I go there. I might empty some loose change from my pockets in the slots though on my way out.

Yeah I stay away from anything but the poker tables. I walk into a casino and I make a b-line for the poker room. I just can't sit there mindlessly pulling a slot lever for hours on end. I just don't see what is so appealing. I would have to say that is one of the biggest turnoffs for me in a poker room is when there are 500 slot machines adjacent to the poker room.... Man I hate that. I prefer a poker room that is sealed off from the rest of the casino so I don't go home with a headache.

I am not a huge fan of real life poker. There is nothing more stimulating than hearing a bad beat story you have heard 100 times before or how a guy with a open ended strait and flush draw beet some guys top set how dre he put it all in with 20 some outs. Old smelly fat people complaining. Give me online poker any day.

I would much rather play online than at any casino. kickboy hit it on the head who wants to listen to some guy whine for hours on end while he donks off all his money. I can sit at home in my underwear and have a lot more fun.

Plus around here you can't smoke in the poker rooms and I smoke a lot when playing cards so that pretty much means I'll never play at a casino again.

Well online is great for all the reasons mentioned above. Plus who wants to drive with gas the way it is.

But, if you like to get out and watch other people play or socialize then you've gotta go to a live casino.

I like the real stuff, but on any given day I enjoy online play too. it all depends on timing, if I feel like going out I will certainly hit the tables and the girls....

Talking about that, someone told me about a "strip poker" game played by gorgeous women from Europe, for the visitors of a resort called Charlisangels. When I googled it, turned out to be an "erotic vacation resort" where the girls are escorts included in a vacation package.

I guess if that`s the deal, I`d go to that kind of live action...get it?

The excitement of going to a real casino probably is an adventure in itself whereas internet gambling is more solitary and lonely I supposed.

Gas=4$ a gallon to drive 2 hours
Fat bald guy sitting in seat next to me=eh
Old lady telling me how to play = priceless
