| So I was just trying to answer a question for kickboy on where to stay when in Las Vegas and decided I have a few questions from out resident "las Vegan." (is that really what you call yourselves?) So Jason I am coming out for the $1500 HORSE event and have booked nothing yet. Where would you suggest staying that isn't going to cost an arm and a leg? Renting a car or taking taxis is not out of the question but either near the strip or near the Rio is a must. In the past I have stayed at the crappy little motel next to Hooters and I really didn't mind it but I wouldn't mind trying a casino if it isn't going to cost a ton. Any reccomendations? |

![]() | I just posted an answer to that very question before I saw your post .WSOP 2007 Main Event Final Table A lot of it depends on how long you are coming out for, if your just coming for 3-4 days, I'd highly recommend just staying at the Rio, especially if your going to play events (you get a discounted hotel rate), convenience factor, extra sleep in the morning, take a shower at dinner break to get refreshed, etc. For a short period of 3-4 days the money saved at a budget hotel vs the Rio is somewhat insignificatnt when you factor in Cab Fare, car rentals vs convenience and ideal location. If you stay away from the 3-card poker you can probably affora suite ![]() Jason

| Yea the Rio is a great option - I have a timeshare rental at Polo Towers which I love using when I go up to Vegas. Most of the time I can even get in last second for under $150/night on the weekend for a condo suite. But when I'm feeling saucy I still love the Bellagio and the Wynn - great hotels and I love their poker rooms and the general atmosphere. |
