| I know it is an easy fold for me, but I would be interested to know what range you would give the villain to min raise on such a wet board?? Is it just straight&flush draws, or made straight (would this not bet more to protect against flush draws however unlikely?) thanks $25 USD NL Texas Hold'em - Friday, January 02, 12:48:56 GMT 2009 Table Jackpot #1305908 (Real Money) Seat 1 is the button Total number of players : 6 Seat 4: FRSDJ ( $29.89 USD ) Seat 2: Lugano023 ( $31.43 USD ) Seat 5: Nubbe2 ( $28.59 USD ) Seat 1: chip_buttie ( $22.35 USD ) Seat 3: nrg_poker77 ( $20.61 USD ) Seat 6: tieftaucher3 ( $27.11 USD ) Lugano023 posts small blind [$0.10 USD]. nrg_poker77 posts big blind [$0.25 USD]. ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to chip_buttie [ ]FRSDJ folds Nubbe2 folds tieftaucher3 calls [$0.25 USD] chip_buttie raises [$1.25 USD] Lugano023 folds nrg_poker77 folds tieftaucher3 calls [$1 USD] ** Dealing Flop ** [ , , ]tieftaucher3 checks chip_buttie bets [$2 USD] tieftaucher3 calls [$2 USD] ** Dealing Turn ** [ ]tieftaucher3 checks chip_buttie bets [$4 USD] tieftaucher3 raises [$8 USD] chip_buttie did not respond in time chip_buttie folds tieftaucher3 does not show cards. | | Without more information on this player it's really tough to say. In general I'd say min raises are weak plays made by weak players, so your not necessarily beat here. He could have a hand like 9-10 or even 8-10 which gives him a pair and straight draw. Players like to make these types of plays to freeze the action and also because they may have the best hand and have a draw to boot. Of course, there are the players that make the nuts here, and then min raise to confuse you too, so information on the player is crucial. Jason

| Yeah, information is needed on the player. There is no hard and fast rule on what the min-raise means. However, in my experiences, at lower limits, it more often means a made hand than a draw. Although, obviously for some players it will mean a draw, etc etc. |
