| How do you guys review hands/sessions. Whats the best way to learn and improve? I guess I will start looking at biggest loses and wins after a session, and when I have got used to that look at hands that give me hard decisions but not nessesarily big pots. In this hand I am most confused about villians range due to low pfr stats. On the flop I dont raise as I dont want hands I beat to fold. On the turn I would expect an overpair to double barrel. villan stats 114/17.5/4.4 agg factor 0.4 preflop 2 post flop $0.25/$0.5 No Limit Holdem 8 players Converted at weaktight.com Stacks: UTG ($9.29) UTG+1 ($64.78) MP1 ($14.80) MP2 ($58.93) CO ($54.67) BTN ($47.30) SB ($11.67) Hero ($56.74) Pre-flop: ($0.75, 8 players) Hero is BB 5 5 4 folds, CO raises to $2, 2 folds, Hero calls $1.50 Flop: 8 5 3 ($4.25, 2 players) Hero checks, CO bets $3, Hero calls $3 Turn: 2($10.25, 2 players) Hero checks, CO checks River: 6 ($10.25, 2 players) Hero bets $5, CO raises to $15.50 $10.5 to Hero ($46.74)? |

| c/r flop, it looks like a feeler bet so if you are going to call the flop you need to bet the turn. I think this was a little FPS. I c/r the flop to about $10-$11. This is a perfect example of the saying: it is much better to win a small pot than to lose a big one. I know it doesn't seem like we flop sets with our PP's often enough, but I still think we try to play this one straight forward on the flop.

| From most of what I've read, it is better to play your trips agressively, rather than let someone draw out on you when you try to play trappy. I'd of bet 3/4 - full pot after the flop and see if he folds to me. If he calls and the board throws a scare card on the turn as it did in this case, I just check/call it down if possible. As you played it, I'd think he has A4 in the pocket.

| again agree with cr on flop. thoughts were that his flop bet is standard and does not define any hand range, and was hoping to extract value from a hand like AK by letting him hit one of his 6 'outs' on the turn. I guess the CR would only get called by an over pair (or 88), making t/r easy. |
