| This is from a live game at Binion's Casino in Vegas. $1/$3 NL Hold-em. The games had broken up, and I agreed to play a few hands heads up (with a name I recognized, but didn't know was a 90s 2-time Stud bracelet winner). After a few back and forth hands and only a couple of flops, I hit Q/Q on the button/small blind. This follows: Raise to $15 (was a rather standard for the table that night) in small blind. Opponent calls. Flop: 5/8/10 Opponent bets $15 Raise to $45 Opponent all-in I call. Once the money is in, he announces a set, and shows the pocket 5s. The turn and river pair, so his boat wins. Obviously, the over the top raise after the flop would have indicated a big hand, but I called due to the players previous play. They way he was playing the heads-up hands I expected he would not have called the $15 raise without two over cards. Also, any pair over 9s and he would have re-raised. Any rags he would have folded to that raise. Thus, the 10 high flop was just what I was looking for with the big pair. His play made it very unlikely that he had hit 2 pair on the flop, so I put him on A/10 or similar; top pair good kicker. Did I completely get a case of the dumb-ass here, or how should I have played differently? |

| | you left out one key fact. How much was he all in for?? Without the amount of the all in its hard to give you an advice. ![]() The pot was about 120 when he went all in. If he was all in(or you are all in for the 100-200 range it's probably just one of those hands that are hard to get away from. If the all in was greater than $200 or so I think you have to consider folding and finding a better spot. Who was it out of curiousity? Barry Johnson or somebody like that. Jason

| At the start of the hand, I had around $150 - $175. The pot at the flop was $34, then his $15, and my raise to $45 put it around $95. He had around $150 in chips and 2 $100 bills, so it was me all in for around $125 or so. It was Marty Sigel, btw. |

| | Edit: I did just delete this spammer, but thought I'd leave it up for some brief comedy. I was just going to hit the one touch ban and clean, which is what I normally do for spammers ![]() So let me get this right, your pissed off because I won't let you spam your shittly links to another site. Truly funny. Go find somewhere else to spam.

| Meh, I think you did ok. Your analysis of what you thought he had seems pretty spot on, and if he was playing this aggressive in earlier spots I can see why you think you're ahead. It does seem like the perfect flop for your queens.
