Default Poker Rumor Confirmed: ePassporte Is Shutting Down To U.S. Poker Players.

This is from the Cake Poker team, one of my favorite online poker websites. It confirms that the story that was posted earlier today on PokerOwnage.com is indeed true. It is unclear what is next from here.

Here is the official statement that was posted on Cake Poker's website: [read more about the ePassporte Official Stance From Cake Poker's Standpoint]

This stinks. Sounds like neteller all over again except at least your cash is not frozen. So what are the best options still available now??

No big e-wallets have stepped forward just yet to take ePassporte's place. Although I'm hoping for something to pop up soon. Until then, instant eCheck friendly sites are your best option (Stars, Full Tilt, Bodog).

I don't know if any ewallets will want to step up. There is too much that is uncertain in the US and no one really knows which way it's going to go.

So are echecks and prepaid credit cards the best ways of depositing now?

It would seem that way until those options are taken away completely.

It's funny because I'm not even sure I know the reason why ePassporte is shutting down.

The thing I don't understand is why all the other deposit and/or withdrawal options are not jumping ship as well?
