Default ePassporte Shutting Down to U.S. Online Poker Players?

A well-known poster and poker player at 2+2 has apparently gotten word from an unidentified source that popular U.S. e-wallet ePassporte has shut its doors down to U.S. poker players as of 1:00 PM PDT today!

The unconfirmed source hasn't stepped forward as of yet, and there is no official statement from ePassporte at the moment; however...[read more about the Online Poker News Report About ePassporte Shutting Its Doors to US Poker Players]

Another blow to US poker players. It is unreal what is happening not only to online poker in the US, but all the other things I've been reading about many poker rooms getting raided around the US lately. Is there a "War on Poker" to go with the "War on Drugs" and "War on Terror" ?

Yeah, this really sucks. I just spent a ridiculous amount of time getting my limits increased on epassporte to 5k a day so I wouldn't have to go to the damn cash machine so often when I needed bigger $$.

I'm sure someone else will step up and replace them as the defacto standard, then they will get shut down in a year or two also.

It's strange how when it comes to online payment companies they can practically make up whatever terms they want and then change them whenever they want.

What if all of a sudden your bank starting saying where you could spend your money?

Or credit card companies starting telling you which stores you can or can't shop at?
