I have really mixed feelings on this, the games are soft there and I have a friend who is a long time UB pro (P0kerH0 - Mark Kroon for anyone who remembers the glory days).

I believe very strongly in regulation, but I tend to think in an unregulated world AFTER this stuff came to light AP/UB is probably the safest place to play these days, as they probably have the most to lose.

I can say that one concrete opinion is that they handled this HORRIBLY and Russ Hamilton should be hung out to dry.

Yea I can't wait to see the story airing tonight - should be very interesting to say the least. My buddy Todd Witteles was one of the guests being interviewed for it, pretty crazy seeing him on TV again.

I think this is bad for poker, when the US government are trying to say poker is gambling and bad for society, the last thing you need is a programme that highlights corruption and cheating... I think the pro's that have commented on the show need to be very carefull in case their words that are intended to help with pro poker choice, are mis represented by the producers who are trying to get audience and numbers and don't give a f**k about pokers reputation - online or live.

I'm with Fourkingshit. The intentions of 60 minutes is not to enlighten people about a horrible scandal that cost people 20 million. It is to demonize online gambling in general and to build support for US prohibition. What will happen here is a lobbying outcry will pressure the government to crack down on our ability to play online all together.

It is hard to believe that in this day and age that an online poker site isn't even bothering to track the win rates of players. This one simple thing makes the players have to lose the money to somebody else, either in ring games or playing hads up. Then that account that won the money would have to repeat the same process to hold down their win rate.

Look at the graph of NioNio, he had an unreal win rate that went totally unoticed by the site and was eventually caught by the players. It would be nice if the site bothered to track this info, rather than sitting back collecting the rake and not bothering to pay attention to anything else.

Here is the entire 60 minutes expose on the Absolute Poker Cheating scandal. 60 Minutes openly names Russ Hamilton as one of the cheaters although they didn't show direct proof in their expose.
