WSOP Main Event Entrants - Your Guess??!?
Hey All, Seems like Main Event qualifiers are bigger than ever this year... with Poker Stars alone claiming they will send 1000 players! What is everyones guess of how many players will participate in the Main Event this year? I'll stick my head on the block and start the guess with a 7650 - no prizes here - but plenty of kudos for the member who gets closest! My Guesstimate is = 7373 Whoever guesses closest I will buy the official DVD of the 2008 WSOP when it is released. I like the DVD's so much better than setting up my Tivo/DVR recorder. For some reason the TV guide never seems to list the episodes correctly plus you have all the damn commercials. Jason

Jason you must have some good Karma always jumping in to give prizes away  I think PokerStars is hoping that if they send so many, they'll have a better chance of having someone they sent win the main event and they can add another main event winner to their belt. Which of course will give them even more publicity. For some reason I have a feeling it could get close to 8000 but after doing some calculations ¶ = MC˛  I'll go with 7888 |

Is the WSOP over yet!?!? I obviously haven't been keeping up with it or this thread :) If it's not too late to put in a number, mine would be 6519. Wow, this is just like the Blood Alcohol Pools we have for the drunks that come into the ER!
