Default Wsop 2008

I dropped by the Rio last night about 3am to see if anything was happening and it was a ghost town. they had three cash games going, all 2-5 no limit and two one-table satellites were just finishing up with no players around to start another one.

The layout at this years event looks much better. All of the satellites are in their own room this year. For anyone that was there last year they are across the hall from the main room where Full Tilt's VIP room was last year. The main room looks better organized, Table numbers are easy to see. Higher limit cash games have a wall around them, and there looks like there is going to be several different food options.

It looks like they abandoned "The Tent" for satellites and evening tournaments or it's just not setup yet.

Today's event is a 10k Pot Limit event, It will be interesting to see how many people pony up 10k on day 1. I"m guessing a low turnout. I put the over/under at 242

Saturdays event (1500 No limit) promises to be a complete Donkfest with a monster prizepool. I'm not sure I'm going to play, but probably will. I'll keep you guys posted on the pulse of the event.

Jason

Was the full tilt room near where the "cafe" was? Also do they have the asian chicken wrap with that awesome peanut sauce this year? I lived off those for a week last year and in no way is that a bad thing.

If they have them when I am out there I swear to god I will send you one. I don't know how well it would hold up but overnight on ice it probobly wouldn't be that bad. If you pay S&H I promise to overnight one to you, it was that good.

I didnt' see a "Full Tilt" room, in fact I didn't see any VIP rooms, I'm not sure they are allowing them this year? or if they are they just arent' setup yet.

Not sure about the asian chicken wrap thing, but I will check it out. All of the food service was shut down when I was there at 3am.

Good to hear nothing is in the tent yet. I spent a few hours in there. I was next to Mark Seif and we were talking about wether or not our release would allow ESPN to show our deaths on TV.

It was hot.

I saw an interview somewhere where they said they got rid of the tent thingy because everyone hated it.

Jason, do you have a digital camera to take some pics or some video while you're there?

Maybe some EXCLUSIVE PokerStrategyForums.com interviews

It'll be good for the search engines and could drive more traffic to your site for all the people looking for fresh WSOP content ;-)
