| I would have to say do not play right after you ge into a fight with your significant other. You will play 100% different than you normally would.

| I think one of the things I try not to do is play hands the same way everytime so my opponents can't pick up on any patterns. You want to keep mixing it up. |

| Avoid tilt, or when your on tilt recognize that your on tilt and remove yourself from the game for some time. Players lose a lot of money being on tilt and it's a players dream to find out that someone is on tilt losing their money foolishly. |

![]() | I avoid starting to play, especially live, when I'm tired. When I'm in a game I usually use my judgement on if I'm getting tired or not as a indicator on when to leave, which I generally do unless I have a real good reason to stay (ie. a bad player with a lot of chips).

| I agree with BlueFool - try your hardest not to play when you're tired. You won't be entirely focused and it can be difficult to make reads on your opponents. |

Also I think one of the main things at the table is to stay classy. Take your wins and losses with class. Don't berate others or whine about losing. It is a part of the game and if you ask me, berating a player at the table is the worst play in poker. Do you want them to get better? Or do you want a new player who is already dead money to leave the game for good because you lost one pot to them? I guess I would say keeping your mouth shut is one of the best things you can do at the table. I see many good players that have this one major leak. | |
