| I have to thank this site for getting my poker life back on the map. I literally had 5$ and some change left before I joined the 5$ pokerstrategyforums tourney at full tilt poker about a month ago. It was the best money tourney I have ever seen with only 20 or so entrants and added prize pool of 200$. I ended up winning that tourney to take home 167$ and never looked back. I have built my BR from 5$ to over 3500$ and Im continuing to build my empire. Just thought I owed this site a lot of thanks do to what became of my 5$ dollars and thank goodkarmakid for the tourneys and to keep them coming. ![]() My name on FTP is Mumbles99 hope to see yall out there ![]() |

| Congrats on the good fortune at the poker tables and building your bankroll. Starting from $5 and building it up to $3500 must feel good. It's great that it all started with this forum's tournament. Keep up the great poker play and continue to pop in here to let us know how it's going or to join in the other discussions. |

![]() | Congratulations That's quite an accomplishment. Remember the larger the bankroll, the more important it is to protect. continue practicing good bankroll management by playing the correct limits, and avoiding tilt. Once again, congrats on the parlay. Jason

| Hookey, Would you mind posting some of your "How I got there" advice? I still can't get off this plateau I've hit...since Jan. I've only busted out twice, but can't seem to get my BR past $250.

| By the way Karma, you are on my bad side right now. I am so trying to learn limit better with a passion. I go up like 200 off SNg then take it over to the 2-4 limit table and lose like 100 bucks there in like 30 minutes. This cycle has been going on for about a week now.

Becoming a Limit Holdem expert is all about pushing the small edges, betting hands for value, and pushing your Nut Draws in multi-way pots where the odds dictate it and using your postion to your advantage. Limit Hold'em really is a different animal than No Limit. One game isn't better than the other, its all about what is best for you. For example, if your the best Razz player in the world and can find a game, then you should play Razz. Jason

| I agree Karma. Limit Hold em and NL Hold em are two completely different animals. The only thing they have in common really is the hand rankings!

| Kind of funny though. When i was playing "Pro" for about a year that is all I played was limit. That was about 2 years ago. Since then I have switched to purly no Limit and it is like I completly forgot how to play. Im not a huge fan of blaming the site ( I never have) But i have had some monster 2nd best hands when i played it the last few times. I think i hit set vs set 5 times all with the under set.
