Default Softest satellites/qualifiers for WSOP

I have no interest in going to Vegas for the WSOP this year, but I know people are always talking about how incredibly weak the play is in the single table satellites for the WSOP. I've heard people say that the $1000 satellites are about as tough as a $10 table online.

Is there a similar situation online? I would think that a lot of inexperienced players may be making deposits to play for their chance at the King of All Donkaments. Has anybody played these qualifiers/satellites in years past? What's the competition like? Which ones are the most +ev?

Also, Mark or anybody else in the affiliate business: Does the WSOP cause an upswing in new depositors on sites? How dramatic/noticeable is it?

I showed up at the Rio early on the day of the $1500 Razz event to look for some Razz cash games but there were none but there were $215 (it might have been 225 I am not sure) 8 man single table sats. Needless to say I hopped in one and took it down. The best was when the other guy asked for a chop HU when he had like 400 chips and I had the rest. I was already bought in so I sold the tokens to some people at the cage and they paid me in $100 Rio chips which I threw around like candy later that night at a 3 card poker table.

The step levels at levels 1-4 at pokerstars are very soft. The problem is Steps 5 and 6 are nearly impossible due to the large amount of sharks in the tourny.
