That's poker and it'll happen plenty more times if you plan on playing poker. Both hands are really just a coin toss to win pre-flop. Perhaps he was a big chip leader and you were short stack so he called your all-in figuring he has two live cards. He probably figured you were pushing with high cards and thought he would gamble to take the rest of your chips.

Just my opinion, if I played that one and I notice that he had nothing I'll go all in so that he'll just folds.

It all depends on stacks and pot odds. If the guy calling with T8 has you outstacked 10:1 and is in the BB getting about 2:1 pot odds with no one else to act, he is absolutely correct to call in that spot. In a tournament, the pot odds and stack sizes can make what looks like a bonehead play the correct decision.

AK is *not* the holy nuts, it is just a good starting hand. Try just raising with it instead of putting it all in and if the flop is just plain ugly, fold the AK. Tournaments are all about survival and you should not get married to one hand. If someone reraises you, give him or her the benefit of the doubt and fold. Of course, if that player raises too often, then everyone will realize he is a lying weasel and he will be facing the business end of a reraise soon .People that call raises with random hands when someone raises with Ax are, in essense, hunting for six outs. The odds are with you, so don't worry about it. You can't stop people from calling your good cards. Keep in mind that short stacks are more likely to call your raise because they are getting desperate. It is your job to toss these desperate people to the rail and take their chips with AK.
