Heartland Poker Tour (Denver)

So the Heartland Poker Tour is in town starting today and starting tomorrow I will be up there playing as much as possible. Last year I placed just inside the money for a little over $2700 and this year I hope to make it farther. It will be sattelites for about 2 weeks and I plan on playing as many as possible as they pay cash and are pretty soft. Anyway wish me luck all!

I was always curious of the popularity of the Heartland tour. Can you please let us know how many players participate in these events and prizepool it generates?

I am heading up soon but kickboy, here in colorado there is no bigger event and last year was the first year for the HPT in CO. Literally thousands play. The Golden Gates Poker Parlour has around 20 tables and they will be full from now through mid april jsut for sattelites. I came in 30th overall last year. The thing about Colorado gaming law is that there is a $5 max bet in cash games and the biggest tourney buy-in allowed is $500 so there is no direct buy in to the event, you have to sattelite in.

Last year even though there was no direct buy in first place took over 120k if I remember.
