![]() | Jeebus had the idea in another thread about asking what everyones favorite poker or gambling movie is?So let me get this started. I really like the Color of Money with Tom Cruise & Paul Newman it is a great gambling movie. Although it's not about poker, there is a lot to learned by watching this movie, plus its pretty entertaining ![]() Jason

| "The Color of Money" was a really good movie. The only one that I can remember that was pretty good was "The Gambler" with Kenny Rogers. Loved that song also. |

| I am going to have to say "Rounders" starring Matt Damon, Edward Norton, and John Malkovich. It isn't the greatest movie, but for a poker movie it's pretty good. |

![]() | I liked Rounders, it was a pretty good movie. A few parts of it were sensationalized but overall a decent movie, I added one of the better scenes to the Poker Videos forum. The timing of Rounders and a guy named "Chris MoneyMaker" winning the WSOP froma $40 buy in, played a big role in the rise in popularity of poker. Jason

| Rounders is a good poker movie and it did help poker along with the amazing Chris Moneymaker win. Every live tournament I go to I'm hoping someone is going to be eating Oreo cookies. |

| I enjoyed Rounders myself. What are the chances of them making a sequel to that movie? Would it work? Or would they not be interested because it wasn't a blockbuster? |

![]() | It would be easy to make a sequel for Rounders, becaue the show finished with him taking off for Vegas. I don't think it will happen though, because big stars like Matt Damon, normally don't do sequels unless the movie is really popular. Who knows? I hope I'm wrong, but if they were going to do a sequel, I think they would have done it by now with the popularity of poker. Jason

| Perhaps your'e right Jason. It may not be something the actors would want to be a part of. You would think Hollywood would want to take advantage of the popularity of poker right now. You even have many of the celebrities playing poker. That poker comedy that's coming out should be fun though. |

| Well I'm certainly glad you decided to create a thread for this. I've been wanting to check out some cool movies on poker and the one I've heard most so far is 'Rounders' so I think I'm just gonna go and rent that one. |
