Default Doyles Room Celebrity Bounty Tournament

On Wednesday, April 23rd at 9:30pm ET Doyle's Room is having a Celebrity Bounty tournament. The Best part is that if you have never played in the tournament you get the entry fee of $27.50 refunded making the bounty tournament a free-roll

The Celebrity bounty tournament is a good chance to pick up some extra dough, anytime you knockout one of the Celebrity Bounty's you get paid, and get paid progressively. For example:
  • 1st Celebrity Bounty = $500
  • 2nd Celebrity Bounty = $5000
  • 3rd Celebrity Bounty = $25,000
Which brings up an interesting strategy point. In my opinion because of the unique progressive bounty structure, I think it becomes correct to get involved or more specifically go all in anytime you can with a celebrity bounty, regardless of what you have. Yes, I don't care if you have 2-7 off-suit (the worst hand in poker) I think its correct to move all in on any of the celebrity bounties. Anyone have an opinion on this strategy?

This weeks Celebrity players are:
Doyle Brunson "Texas Dolly"
Hoyt Corkins "The Alabama Cowboy"
Mike Caro "The Mad Genius of Poker"

and Special Guests

Nicky Hilton (Paris' little sister, the one on the left)

Jamie-Lynn Sigler (Meadow from the Sopranos)

If you decide to give this tournament a try, make sure to post in this thread on what you thought of the tournament.

Jason

Default Re: Doyles Room Celebrity Bounty Tournament

I played in these types of bounty tournaments before at Doyles when I was a somewhat regular player there. They are pretty good. People usually hang around Doyle's table to watch him play. He likes to show the 10 2 often.

I think you're right about going all in whenever you can against the bounties.

Too bad they didn't have a bounty on Jamie-Lynn Sigler in that if you knock her out, you get to take her out on a date ;-)
