| Phil Ivey got knocked out after going up and down. My hopes lay with Humberto Brenes now in this event as my other draft picks have been eliminated as well. Phil Laak continues to do well. Some other big names got knocked out just before Phil Ivey too... Fri, 30 May 2008 23:03:38 Phil Ivey is Out Phil Ivey was put all in by his opponent on a flop of 10-10-6 after he led out with a bet. Ivey made the call, showing K-Q. He was behind his opponent's A-J. Ivey failed to improve after the turn was a deuce and the river another blank. Ivey has been eliminated and will have to wait until another event to capture his next bracelet. Fri, 30 May 2008 22:56:56 Joe Sebok Eliminated Joe Sebok moved his last chips into the middle with Q-J off and was called by a suited A-7 of clubs. Sebok couldn't improve his hand, and the A-7 held up to eliminate Sebok from the first event of the World Series of Poker. Fri, 30 May 2008 22:55:42 Erik Seidel Eliminated After hanging on with a short stack in the post-dinner break hours, eight-time bracelet winner Erik Seidel finally succumbed and hit the rail. Fri, 30 May 2008 22:50:57 John Juanda is Eliminated John Juanda moved in the last of his chips with pocket nines and found himself racing against A K His slight lead evaporated when the flop came A-J-4, and when Juanda couldn't find a nine on the turn or river his night came to a premature end. |

| ...and if you didn't take Kathy Liebert I would have taken her with my last pick. It's double points for this event I believe since it's $10,000 buy-in right? So nice start for you. I think my Humberto Brenes busted out on the bubble. I guess I'm hoping Mike Sexton takes this to keep you peeps from getting some extra points on us. Every point counts. 4 left... 1. Andy Bloch $2,745,000 2. Mike Sexton $2,130,000 3. Nenad Medic $1,465,000 4. Kathy Liebert $1,030,000 |
