| I honestly don't like to eat at the poker table. The only time I do is during a live session at a casino when there is money flying all over and I just have to eat. |

| Nachos and pretzels are great when playing poker. I would love to dip the nachos in cheese but your hands can get all dirty and dirty up the cards, so you can't have cheese unless it's during a break and theres a bathroom near by. |

| Am i the only person who can not stand eating at the table? I hate when people eat at the tables and leave greese on the cards or something spills on the table. Big pet peeve of mine.

![]() | I try not to eat at the tables, it's really quite unsanitary when you think about it. the chips and cards are filthy, so even if you washed your hands, you now have to eat one-handed and use your other hand to look at your cards and toss chips into the pot.Even if the game is super lively, and you are stuck, it doesn't hurt too miss one rotation (sit out on big blind, and then wait until it's your blind again.) Nah, I can't believe that.I think we may be talking about different kinds of games here. A poker game with "the gang" on a Friday night MUST have the grease but if I'm in Atlantic City or Vegas, it doesn't mean I show up equipped with bags of chips. | |

| I am not a big fan of eating at the table, I generally only eat at the table when the action is just too juicy to pass up but if I am going to eat at my table I have seen some allright foods. At one of my local casinos they have a chicken caesar wrap that is awesome. It is pretty much a chicken caesar salad in a wrap. Talk about delicious and at the same time it isn't greasy so you don't mark the cards. Also I was at a home game and the guy made swedish meatballs. Pretty easy to handle at the table (in a bowl) and really good. Whenever I have a poker game I make 7 layer dip and buy other dips and chips and leave it in a room adjacent to the poker table so people tend to wander into the other room to eat instead of eating at the table. I would also like to give another reason for not eating at the table, even though it has been mentioned before. You learn this as a dealer and as a player as well. The poker table is a great place to exchange germs. The chips and the cards are some of the dirtiest things you will ever touch. Honestly, the chips and cards not only change hands with every person at your table but also every person and dealer that was there the night before, the weeks before you were there, and in some cases years before you were there. Sure the average life span of a deck may only be a few days or so but chips can hang around the casino for a looooooong time. I am not saying stay away from a poker table! Proper hand washing is more than enough to keep you from catching most anything you will encounter at the table, but this is just an idea of one reason I am not a big fan of eating at the table. The other obvious reasons for not eating at the table; slowing the action and potentially making a mess, add up with the cleanliness of it all so if you think about it you can see why I rareley eat at the tables. |

| I eat and drink a lot only on boy's poker nights. Usually, we have cold beer and grilled pork belly on the side. Poker is fun with some food to go with it. |

| You bring up a good point. On a boys poker night I will drink and eat but at the casino I never drink and only occasionally eat at the tables. The setting means a lot when deciding wether to eat or drink at the table. In a game with serious cash I will eat before the game and not touch alcohol but if it is a fun night out with the boys with not much money involved then the poker can usually take a back seat to having a few beers and some pizza. |
