I agree that kids should only be allowed to play online when they are 18 and any age should be able to play poker at home for small change.

the other day i let my 11 year old daughter play in a online freeroll for me. i have no problem with this. its a good why to learn the game. playing alot of hands quicker, 18 is to late. if you know your kids and keep an eye on them in anything they do,should'nt be a problem. also i heard some colleages are using poker as a learning tool. so ithink its good for kids to play poker.

Yeah I have let my 16 year old little bro play a few tourneys. He is a little O8 genious, everyone needs to watch out. On a more serious note I think kids learning some form of poker at a young age is almost mandatory. I mean if you look around, even at people who don't play poker reguarly or have not palyed in a long time, almost everyone gets the concept and most know the most basic hand rankings or most of them. I think, at least in the US, learning poker at a young age is pretty standard. I remember playing when I was as young as 8 or 9 for nickels with my grandpa and 11 and 12 with friends for pennies or just fun. I see no problem with it but I don't think children under 18 should be playing with any level of seriousness.
