Yes, it would be a good one to rent. As for a sequel I think it would be great to see one but I agree that I don't fore see it happening anytime soon. Not unless they offer the right money and the right script.

There's a movie called Lucky You with Eric Bana, Robert Duvall, Drew Barrymore and some poker pros in cameos (Harmon, Negreanu, Greenstein, Farha, etc.) but I thought it sucked for the most part. The finale is the main character playing his dad (Duvall) heads up in a NLHE tournament. I found myself not paying attention unless there was poker related action on screen, so not really recommended.

And don't even get me started about when Drew Barrymore sells him out keeping time for that prop bet. That scene made me boil. I guess it doesn't help that I can't stand Drew Barrymore.

I have never seen that one. Looks like I will have to pass though if it is that bad. I thought I had seen most of Drew Barrymore's movies. Missed this one along the way though.

Rounders is the only "real" poker movie I've ever seen. I liked it well enough, but was a little disappointed. I wouldn't say it was the movies fault, it just got really hyped by all the poker players I knew and didn't really live up to it. I still like it though. I liked Maverick, but I would hardly call that a poker movie.

Huck was notorious for making crazy prop bets, I'll have to dig into my memory bank and try to remember some of them, they are pretty funny. Jason

Rounders. Also the "best player" guy in Cincinatti Kid is nothing but a suckout artist. I liked that movie until he called down all the way to hit a straight flush on the end and said "your good kid, real good, but as long as I'm alive you will always be second best." Sweet quote, awful suckout.

![]() | I was waiting for someone to mention the "Cincinnati Kid". It is a classic american film. The movie was very good, except the last hand. Just not a realistic finish. You can check out the trailer here: Cincinnati Kid - The Final Hand Jason
