| I cashed in the 100k 1k buyin on abosolute poker last night. I was in first place with 10 left and i ended up getting eighth place which was a major dissapointment. The players at the table were mostly online pros as i am a relatively new player. They were aggreessive and i did not have a strategy to beat them with. They were by far the most competive poker moment of my life. they kept repoping me and rerepoping me. I would like to hear the advice of the fellow pokerstrategy people to help me with my ft strategy. I won 2.6k which i wont complain about but still it was frustrating. |

| disappointing to get 8th when 1st out of 10 but 2.6k softens the blow. Not played against many pros myself but guess you have to be careful about your betting patterns as they will pick up more tels than the regular players |

| Good work, and I think the only real answer I have is to tighten up and move up that pay scale. With those players making so many moves at eachother they are going to knock eachother out and there will be money in the post when you wake up with a hand. Tough to make it to that final table only to finish it too soon but still a great run!

Also I would imagine that if they were online pros they probably had good book on you before the final table. For me when I'm playing someone who is really aggressive, I'll try my best not to give away the strength of my hand and trap. Though at the same time I try and keep from letting them draw to their cards. If draws are on the board then I'll give improper pot odds to call.

| top 18 played only 96 entrants these players were far better than me at the ft. I was runnin over them in the previous tables but right when we hit final table they all went gunning for first. I was constantly repoped and when i tried to repop in position they would repop that. It was the first time in my recent poker career that I felt i needed to get lucky to advance in the tourney. I felt like everyone knew I was the one player that hasn't been at this high level before. Maybe it was just a coincidence and they all had great hands when I raised them but i dont think so. I decided to tighten up after I was gettin beat down and wait for a monster which I did with JJ. obv someone else got AA but whatever thats poker. |
