Just one of those hands where you started out with a passive call to conserve chips and follow up with a laydown to the overcard King. Not a terrible play, even if you had the best hand, its good to mix it up occasionally. I'm assuming you had a decent read on you opponent.

Edit: I tried to page with you my fancy website monitor, but you closed it, probably got freaked out when a screen popped up

yep.. hard to judge with out any reads though...how often has he bet the button and FCB, his general style of play etc.

What were your thoughts when you called pre flop. You dont really have enough chips to spew a few to find out where you are in the hand, so I feel this is pretty much a read situation...nothing wrong with a fold as you are out of position for the next 2 streets, but if he has shown that he will steal blinds at bb150 then I would 3bet pre flop here to let him know that your blinds aren't for the taking

I agree with the two previous posts by Karma and Knight... This is hard to analyze without more info.

It was a moderately weak raise from the button as i'd have expected at least 525, so maybe he was very strong? Can't say a raise in ur spot would have been a bad play either even tho you'd be committing 1/2 ur stack.. Do you think you're possibly dominated? What are the chances you're racing there?

Good thing about that conservative fold is you still have plenty of chips left for fold equity later down the line

I ended up cashing in the tourney. This guy I felt couldn't lay down to a rr, he was that kind of maniac (this was after re-buys btw) and I felt that if I flopped a set I double up, if it is all unders I can push, and with an over I kind of have to fold. Basically I was set mining with jacks as if I hit one, I was pretty sure I double up.
