| I don't think I should have played this hand in the first place. This min bet on the flop is quite peculiar and made me think he was trying to steal it. However, this happened to me once before and I made the same incorrect read so I'm starting to think these min bets are actually a strong hand but; he wants to bet but doesn't want to scare me of. | Yeah. I'd fold this pf. You don't say what kind of tourney this is, but it looks like it's still fairly early at the 1st table. You don't need to start raising A9o from such early position. It's a very difficult hand to play OOP after the flop. |

| it's a 180 turbo SnG. Are these min raises on the flop typically a strong hand? |

| I assume you mean min-bet on the flop. They are usually bottom or middle pair. The PF raise is ok but fold to the reraise. |

| Yeah. I'd tend to agree with Copernicus. It usually means they have a piece of the flop or some other pair in their hand. If you had any kind of draw or you hit the flop yourself, you can raise it up for value and for information... Make it a small raise though just in case he's trying to induce something with the minbet. If he comes over the top then you can still let it go without investing too much. But don't raise with air. You'll probably at least get called. |
