Playing a 8 dollar MTT 21 left, 18 pay out. i'm chip leader w/ 27k blinds 600/1200

it was folded around to the sb who shoves 11k into my in the BB.
I called w/ AK, he had A5...i won

but my question is: if had limped, do i raise w/ ATC in that spot?

This is a read thing i realize, and depends a lot on my image and how he's been playing but just humor me.

W/o any information, what do you think of him limping there? Does it scream weak? And if I raise, what amount?

Pretty much 100% of the time. Your the chip leader, you have position, and you most likely have the best hand, what more do you want?

I actually think his limp from the small blind with A-5 is bad also. I'd be raising with this hand most of the time from the small blind heads-up, unless you (the BB have a really aggressive image, and have been habitually raising weak, in which case I'd let you raise, then check raise pretty much any flop/draw that hit my hand.

RE: the amount to raise him if he flat calls? Standard Raise 3x-4x, depending on your previous raise amounts.
