Hey Jason. I have noticed that the pictures I have hosted on this site, although they will show up at work, I cannot link them using image tags on any other site. So basically if I try to post a picture hosted here on another forum like Poker Forum - Online Poker Tournament Rankings, Podcasts, and Articles - Pocket Fives it will not work. Do you have any advice or tips about what I am doing wrong?

edit: I should mention that I have hosted pictures all over the place in the past using sites like photobucket and myspace, I do know how to post them, it is only photos from this site that do not work.

I'm guessing your overthining it by using the image tags. Just cut and paste the url into the insert image box should work. For example:

I have noticed that usually a pic hosted elsewhere ends in ".jpg" but here there is some wierd other stuff, like each pic is a webpage or something.

You hit the nail on the head. How did you get so smart ? Here is the reply from Vbulletin:

That's because the link to the album image is a web page, not just a raw image. You would have to use the direct image link like this:

http://www.pokerstrategyforums.com/picture.php?albumid=5&pictureid=35

It's not a very elegant solution, but it does work. From your gallery page:

http://www.pokerstrategyforums.com/members/powda-albums-my-life.php

you can right click on the image you want to use or hot link to, for example the first picture of your boy here:

http://www.pokerstrategyforums.com/a...2&pictureid=34

then change "album" to "Picture" like this:

I'll try to figure out a better solution to link to pictures in the album, but for now, this is the temp fix.

Cool thank you Karma. I will try that now. I don't know if I totally understand the fix but I will mess with it.

Bleh.. not working. People on other sites can't even click the link to see the pic like I thought they could.

It is okay, I do have images hosted elsewhere, but if they are on this site I can see them from work is all.
