| | I'm open to any and all suggestions on how to make this forum grow and get better. I'm a little surprised actually that it hasn't really taken off and gotten bigger because the members here are top notch, the advice given is solid and none of our members have the "holier than though" attitude which you find on many forums. We try to get rid of all the spam and keep the forum as clean as possible. Best 3 suggestions get a free poker book. Jason

| We need to get the tourneys going again. No freerolls and they don't have to be money added either but if we have weekly tourneys more people will see them and more importantly the forum name on the private tabs on the poker sites which could draw more people in.

| | 1) Hold a contest for a strategy essay. It will encourage everybody to post more and generate some good discussion. 2) Encourage members to post more hands for discussion. Perhaps we could have a hand of the week. This is how you improve. When they post their hands there should be a way to have it converted so that it is easy for everbody to review the action. The poster should also be providing any reads, or history with the players involved in the hand. 3) I am currently giving some free coaching/advice to one of the members here. Its my goal to split my time in the future between grinding and coaching and I figured giving some away for free will give me some experience at it and help build my credentials. If anybody else is interested, please send me a PM. I'm looking for cash game students only though, as donkaments are not my area of expertise. 4) Maybe start a Facebook group. There's a bunch of facebook groups related to poker and maybe you can just network within some of those groups and try to bring some new people over to PSF. |

| | I was under the assumption that I was helping people improve their games. That is why I take the time to make sure my posts are a few pages long. The information that I write about comes easy to me, the writing part of it doesn't. I don't type well, I have to run everything through spell check and grammer check and it isn't the easist thing in the world to think of new things to discuss. In a lot of the essays I write, somebody else brought up a point and I am simply expanding on it. If more people were active, it would give me new ideas on subjects to discuss, I could really use some help from the rest of you. I have done everything I can think of to stimulate conversation, and so far, it hasn't been very successful. |

| | Hey, I am the person JediMethod was refering to about helping someone out in this forum. Like I have posted before, I have been looking for someone to coach me. I aproached him because his post seemed to be in line with what I want my game to be like. I first sent him my HH which he anilized and gave detailed and constructive advice on how to improve my game. Last night he watched me play after I had that new information, and then we talked about it through skype. We also did a "team viewer" session where I watch him play. Team Viewer is a free download that is great for coaching sessions. He was able to multi table and discuss what he was doing and thinking which was a. big help. I saved all our chat so that I can review the information again. I want to set up another session just to go over my tracking software as that alone would imo, be worth a $50 session. The information I got and his follow up has already improved my game a great deal. Anyway, thank you so much for helping me out. I feel very fourtunate that I got this information for free and I would be glad to pay for a session like that in the future. Thanks again! Posted via Mobile Device |

| Posted via Mobile Device. It is a great lesson on the virtue of people. There are some good souls out there, even in this society we live in. A sequestered thank you to those who know who you are. |
