The term "poker face" is so vauge. A better way to put it would be "I have too many tells." Also as a new player it isn't tells he need to be worried about. Honestly the scariest part about a new player is that I can look at them and tell that they think they are weak but in reality they have no idea if they are weak or strong so tells are useless on new players.
To put it simply, nobody is going to be able to tell what your buddy is going to do if he doesn't even know what he is going to do. Tell him to try the game, you will never learn to play or bluff for that matter if you don't try. We all started somewhere and we all lost and will continue to have more losing sessions, some of us just have less losing sessions than others
