Are you going to the 2008 WSOP?

You will pick up an incredible amount of experience by playing these smaller big buy in WSOP events and realistically give yourself a better chance of winning an event or cashing.

Also you could take 4 or 5 shots at super satellites in the evening, or try to parlay a couple of one table satellites.

It probably sounds harsh, but if you can't win a seat in 3 or 4 super satellite attempts or win some smaller one table satellites you probably don't have the skill set to win a big tournament.

I actually wrote a pretty good article about it on my blog two years:

The blog doesn't look so hot, I got screwed over by a web designer and I'm in the process of trying to get it updated.

I agree with your advice completely. Actually I had the 10K last year and instead of dumping it all in the ME luck-fest I spread it out, played 2 events, some decent sized cash games, ate like a king, and had a GREAT time. I would never, ever, suggest anyone dump the 10K when they can play many prelim events and get way more for your money as far as actual experience and play is concerned.
