I agree that the bounties can turn a tournament into a freeroll. That's one of the reasons that I like these tournaments. Usually I'll get at least one bounty before getting KO'd if I don't make it far, which provides a significant discount on the entry.
Now that I really think about it, I guess I can't really say that I "ignore" the bounties. Occasionally I will put a player all-in rather than make a smaller value bet on the river. E.g. if I thought the appropriate value bet given the pot was 500, and the guy only has about 1500 left, I'll bet the rest of his stack in hopes of getting the bounty if he calls. In this situation the chance at the bonus probably outweighs the lost value bet if he folds due to the push.
Another thing I've noticed is that you can't expect to check it down in a three way pot with a small/micro stack all-in. Folks tend to try to bet you off the pot in the interest of getting the KO bonus.
I know these tournaments are loose as all hell, but due to my bankroll I've got to stick to the low buyins for now. Does anyone have much experience playing the $10 or $24 versions of this torunament? I might parlay some of my winnings into a $10 one this weekend.
