New Post Re: Omaha High/Low Poker - Mike Cappeletti (Review)

Hi PoWda,

I have a kick-ass poker library and actually read all of my poker books, so I will go down the list you post and throw in my two cents here and there.

As an active (hmmm, radioactive might be a better term ) Pot Limit Omaha Hi player, I can certainly talk tough about those books: SOme are pure trash, others gold.

Cappeletti writes a good book but it pales into insignificance when compared to Bill Boston, Hwang, and Stewart Reuben books (which I will either review or answer PoWda's comments on later). Stuffy and a little obtuse, requiring careful reading to build a workable strategy. I find the book somewhat limiting in that it does not encourage the idea that there is a fertile middle ground of hands that are not recommendable, but if they hit the flop hard, are huge pot winners simply because your opponents never put you on that hand.
