Gus is supposedly a World Class Backgammon player also. I don't know much about Backgammon, but I do know that it is definitely a high strategy game, similiar to chess. There are definitely right & wrong moves that you can make and the best player usually wins in backgammon.

The reason I bring up Gus's backgammon ability is because although he seems like an out of control action maniac at times, I think at some level, there is a "method to his madness", and his strategy is just fundamentally different than a lot of players.
