I would like to take this opportunity to say thanks to this forum and its members. I have learned a great deal from this forum (great job, Karma) and have never been made to feel stupid or incompetent. My questions, comments and posts of advice have been taken without ridicule from ANY other forum member here. Quite different from other forums that I, for those same reasons, no longer post at. I am certain I am not the only one posting here who feels this way.
On to the gist of my post; I won a micro SnG today. Not a major accomplishment in and of itself for I have won my share, but what was amazing was the way I played it. Yes, I did get a few more decent to good pocket hands than usual, but I played tight and aggressively throughout, taking down pot after pot, raising and reraising (no guys,
really raising and reraising) hands to get more information. It, to my utter shock and surprise, was an amazing thing to watch the other players fold hand after hand to me. By the time we were down to 4, I had 11,000 chips.
I have learned so much from the members of this forum, and the above tournament outcome shows that, when put into practice, your bits and pieces of advice are coming to fruition. I just wanted you to know that, for the love of poker, you are making a difference...for me and I suspect, for many others here. Thanks!
