I've mucked straight flushes and four of kinds face down before playing live when not called. People normally show these big hands cause they are rare, but there really is no need to give away free information.
One of my favorite moves is to say what my monster hand is like "Quads" or "Straight Flush" when the dealer is shoving me the pot, and players almost never believe you and say "yeah right", and I say "give me $10 and I will show you "
I'd say about 70% of the time people pay
people just can't stand it and don't care about money.
