To save some money I would recommend staying at the "
Gold Coast". It's at the corner of Flamingo and Valley View, right across the street from the Rio and maybe ten minutes walk to the Bellagio, or under $5 in a cab. Rooms aren't the best, but the are clean, cheap, and in a good location.
The
Extended Stay of America is also a good place for longer stays, I think they charge about 300 a week or so.
For a short trip of 3-4 days the best value is to book an air/hotel combo package, you can't beat these for value and can often stay at pretty nice properties for less than you would think.
just for shits and googles, I typed in Philadelphia to Vegas from 6/13 to 6/16 and you can get a flight hotel package for two people for around $1000, which doesn't seem horrible considering price of fuel these days.
I'm sure with some research you could cut the price quite abit, I'm also a big fan of sites like lastminutetravel.com and site59.com
You should really get out to Vegas during the series, it rains cash here most of the year if you can play
