So I was just trying to answer a question for kickboy on where to stay when in Las Vegas and decided I have a few questions from out resident "las Vegan." (is that really what you call yourselves?)

So Jason I am coming out for the $1500 HORSE event and have booked nothing yet. Where would you suggest staying that isn't going to cost an arm and a leg? Renting a car or taking taxis is not out of the question but either near the strip or near the Rio is a must.

In the past I have stayed at the crappy little motel next to Hooters and I really didn't mind it but I wouldn't mind trying a casino if it isn't going to cost a ton. Any reccomendations?
