Default Re: Proud moments where you did not win?

I would have to say the $1500 Razz event @ the 07 WSOP. I survived until there were about 80 left of the nearly 400 entries for no cash. This might not sound like that great of an accomplishment but my table wasn't exactly loaded with bad players. In the begining I had Humberto Brenes 2 to my left and Ted Forrest 2 to my right. Let me jussay Ted is the toughest player I have ever faced. I mean when you talk about the elusive "eagle" or a player that is just far superior to all others, one of those top few in the world, the elite, when you are talking about the best poker players in the world, you are talking about Ted Forrest. He was scary good and about 8 hours into the tournament I bluffed him in a HUGE pot that left him entirely crippled with only about 3 BB. He went out about 5 hands later. It was INSANE that he folded to me in that pot with so much invested! It was definetly one of the craziest pots of my life to say the least. To have a poker great like Forrest who literally played in the largest poker game ever go into the tank and fold to your bluff. I am not some bluffing junkie but it felt incredible.

On top of that I had a few other top pros, Mickey Appleman (I think that is his name) and Paul Wolfe (a Full Tilt Pro) were also at my table eventually. I had no problem playing these guys, I just ended up too card dead to play.

I was eventually busted out on a runner runner bs hand by some kid accross the table. Basically the fact that I palyed with these "great" players for so long and jusplayed my game and held my own felt great. you can't win em all but it was an awesome experience to play those players at that level.
