I personally think there is no substitute for aggression heads up. If you can establish dominance early, it will make your life much easier.

You can normally learn alot about your opponent in the the first hand or two. If your opponent comes out raising, he probably knows what he is doing and trying to establish dominance by using aggression.

I like to raise the first hand 4x the blind regardless of what my cards are, and I will continue to raise until the opponent throws out the stop sign.
