I used to do this religously, until the player got irritated. I'd keep a fish list on an excel spreadsheet and just start writing down names when I thought someone played bad.
Then, the following session I would use the sites search feature and look for these players.

I don't see anyting wrong with it at all, game selection is probably the single most important aspect of the game. You might be the 50,000th best player on your favorite site, but you will make money if you play with players worse than you.
