Default Re: Poker and Kids

Yeah I have let my 16 year old little bro play a few tourneys. He is a little O8 genious, everyone needs to watch out.

On a more serious note I think kids learning some form of poker at a young age is almost mandatory. I mean if you look around, even at people who don't play poker reguarly or have not palyed in a long time, almost everyone gets the concept and most know the most basic hand rankings or most of them. I think, at least in the US, learning poker at a young age is pretty standard. I remember playing when I was as young as 8 or 9 for nickels with my grandpa and 11 and 12 with friends for pennies or just fun. I see no problem with it but I don't think children under 18 should be playing with any level of seriousness.
