I had played poker as a kid with my brother and cousins, and often played other card games like hearts and Canasta with my Dad. I've always enjoyed playing cards.
In 1992 or 1993, I started going to an Indian casino called "Tulalip", north of Seattle Washington, to play 1-4 7-Card Stud, They had a big action game with $5 chips, but it was some funny looking poker game, with cards turned face up in the center of the table, I had never seen this game before. I rember vividly standing there and trying to figure out what the hell the game was, because it looked really confusing.
I don't really recall how i got started playing holdem. Probably my seven card stud game broke up or wasnt' going.
